So this was probably the hardest thing we’ve actually done, but I am really interested in 3D modelling and texturing, so its pretty vital that I do this.
To start I had to select specific faces to unwrap. This was probably the hardest thing to do, only because I kept missing out small faces, so that really slowed the process. next I had to planar map, which grouped the UVs together. Then I had to selected all the UVs and smooth unwrap, which smoothed out the UVs. I never really had to stich any of the UVs together, but I feel like I will next time.
Overall I enjoyed UV unwrapping, only because I know it’s going to help the ship look really cool with the textures.
